Cal's Jesse Ingram Named Apr. 8 Pac-10 Pitcher of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, CA - California sophomore right-hander Jesse Ingram has been selected as the Pac-10 Baseball Pitcher of the Week for Mar. 31-Apr. 6, it was announced Tuesday by Pac-10 Commissioner Tom Hansen.
Ingram, from Lafayette, Calif., picked up two saves last weekend at UCLA, throwing 4.0 innings of no-hit, no-run ball with two walks and four strikeouts. On Sunday, Apr. 6, he pitched 3.0 innings with one walk and four strikeouts to help the Bears' to a 12-9 come-from-behind win.
Ingram now has seven saves on the season to go along with a 2-0 record, 3.90 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 32.3 innings. He currently leads the Pac-10 with his seven saves and is also tops in the conference with 19 appearances. Ingram's seven saves is eighth on the Cal single-season save list, and his eight career saves is eighth on the Bears' career save list.
The Bears are currently 20-15 overall and second in the Pac-10 with a 6-3 conference mark, hosting No. 4 ranked Arizona State this Fri.-Sun., Apr. 11-13 at Evans Diamond.
