Rory O'Neil Earns Pac-10 Academic Honor

USC sophomore center Rory O'Neil was named to the 2003 Pacific-10 Conference men's basketball All-Academic team, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

O'Neil, a math major, earned a spot on the honorable mention squad with a 3.01 GPA.

O'Neil was USC's third-leading scorer this year, averaging 10.1 points and 4.9 rebounds to go with his team-high 38 blocks. It was the most blocks ever by a USC sophomore.

Stanford's Nick Robinson and Joe Kirchofer and Arizona State's Justin Allen and Shawn Redhage joined Cal's Amit Tamir on the first team.

Oregon's Jay Anderson, Cal's Erik Bond and Stanford's Rob Little joined O'Neil on the honorable mention team.
