OREGON STATE senior Brynnen Guthrie has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Softball Player of the Week, and ARIZONA freshman hurler Alicia Hollowell has been named Pitcher of the Week for April 15 -April 20, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Guthrie, from Winchester, Ore., led the Beavers in batting with a .625 average (5-for-8) in a pair of games at Oregon this weekend. The secondbaseman tallied a pair of doubles to raise her season total to 10, scored a run and finished with two RBI. She went 3-for-4 in Saturday's win, helping OSU break a five-game losing streak.

Hollowell, from Suisun, Calif., went 2-0 over the weekend in a pair of Wildcat wins over rival Arizona State. She tossed one shutout and posted a 0.00 ERA. Her weekend totals included nine strikeouts in 9.1 innings, including a one-hit performance against the Sun Devils on Friday. Her 26th win on Friday broke the Arizona freshman record of 25, set by Becky Lemke in 1998.
