Arizona Tennis Moves To No. 34 In Weekly Ranking

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona men's tennis team moved down one spot this week in the Omni Hotel collegiate tennis rankings, administered by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The Wildcats fell two spots, falling from No. 32 to No. 34. Arizona finished the spring 9-10 overall and 3-4 in the Pac-10.

Last weekend, the Wildcats traveled to Ojai, Calif., to compete in the Pac-10 Championships in conjunction with the 103rd Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament on April 24-27. Junior Whi Kim and sophomore Paul Warkentin advanced to the semifinals of the doubles main draw, where they fell to the KC Corkery and James Pade of Stanford, 8-4.

With the completion of the Pac-10 Championships, Arizona waits for NCAA selections for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Championships. The first and second rounds will take place on May 10 - 11, sites to be announced.
