Ducks End Round Three of the Pac-10 Championships in 7th Place

GLENDALE, Calif. - After three rounds at the 6,736-yard, par-72 Oakmont Country Club, Oregon men drop down one spot to seventh place, finishing Tuesday 48-over par (1128). Senior John Ellis and freshman Gregg LaVoie lead the Ducks tied for 19th place, each with a combined three round total of 223, 7-over par.
Oregon sophomore Jimmy White carded 70 in the third round, tying his season low score. He climbed 15 spots to 21st in the individual rankings with a combined score of 224 after three rounds. Freshman LaVoie also made a significant advance jumping six spots from 25th to 19th, shooting 73 in the third round.
No.11 UCLA remains in first place carding 355, 5-under par, in the third round, 1081 overall. Arizona advances two spots to second place, with a team total of 1104. Stanford drops to third shooting 376 in the third round, 16-over, giving them a combined total after three rounds of 1109 (29-over par).
UCLA's John Merrick and Stanford's Jim Seki lead with a combined score, after three rounds, of 213 (3-under par). Oregon State's Cameron MacKenzie fell two spots to third carding 74 in the third round, 214 overall.
The Ducks head into the final round of the Pac-10 Championships Wednesday.
