Men's Golf Way Back In Ninth After Day Two Of Pac-10 Championships

Glendale, Calif. - The USC men's golf team shot a tourney-best 374 on Tuesday, but that didn't stop them from sinking further from the top as UCLA took command of the 2003 Pac-10 Championships at Oakmont Country Club.
The Trojans have a 54-hole total of 1142, 61 strokes behind team leader UCLA (1081). Arizona is second (1104) and Stanford is third (1109).
Sophomore Ben Hayes leads the Trojans in a tie for ninth at 219. John Merrick of UCLA and Jim Seki of Stanford are tied for the overall lead at 213.
Also for Troy, senior Chris Botsford is tied for 40th (231), senior David Oh and freshman Taylor Wood are tied for 45th (233), freshman Tyler Ley is tied for 48th (234) and sophomore Nico Bollini has been disqualified.
The tournament concludes on Wednesday with 18 holes beginning at 7:30 a.m.
