Stanford To Host First And Second Rounds Of NCAA Team Championship

STANFORD, Calif. - The fourth-ranked Stanford men's tennis team will host the first and second rounds of the 2003 NCAA Team Championship at the Taube Tennis Center on Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11, as announced on Wednesday by the NCAA.

The Cardinal (21-3), which won its 14th Pacific-10 Conference title this season, is seeded fifth in the 64-team tournament.

Stanford will open its quest for an unprecedented 18th NCAA Men's Tennis Team Championship against Oral Roberts (8-14-1) on Saturday, May 10 at 12:00 p.m. In the first match of the day, Arizona State (9-11) will take on Fresno State (17-8) at 9:00 a.m.

The winners of Saturday's matches will play on Sunday, May 11 at 12:00 p.m. for the right to advance to the NCAA Team Championship on May 17-20 at the University of Georgia.
