Jurgensen, MacKenzie Earn All-Pac-10 Honorable Mention

Oregon State men's golfers Michael Jurgensen and Cameron MacKenzie were named honorable mention All-Pacific-10 Conference, it was announced Thursday.

The all-conference recognition is the first for both golfers.

Jurgensen, a senior, finished in the top 10 in two tournaments, including a career best tie for third at the season-opening Tucker Intercollegiate. For his career, Jurgensen has 10 top-20 finishes and four top-10s. Jurgensen led the team this year with a 72.94 stroke average.

A sophomore, MacKenzie recently led the Beavers at the Pac-10 Championships, recording a tie for sixth. MacKenzie led the tournament after two rounds, and finished with a 1-over-289. He played in just three tournaments this spring after recovering from a wrist injury, averaging 75.1 strokes.

Arizona's Ricky Barnes earned Pac-10 Golfer of the Year for the second time in his career (2001), and UCLA's O.D. Vincent was named coach of the year.
