The No. 1-ranked ARIZONA Wildcats control their own destiny in the Pac-10 title hunt ... They need to win one of three home games at Hillenbrand Stadium in their final Conference weekend, to clinch a seventh Pac-10 Championship ... No. 2 UCLA needs an undefeated weekend in the desert, and three losses from Arizona to steal the Conference crown ... In the event of a tie for first place, the Wildcats hold the tiebreaker by winning the regular season series against the Bruins ... OREGON STATE and No. 18 OREGON will host No. 9 CALIFORNIA and No. 17 STANFORD ... The Beavers will try to tack on some wins to insure a fifth-straight NCAA appearance ... The Ducks look to be in good shape to make an NCAA run, after an absence from postseason play last year ... No. 15 ARIZONA STATE will host the Bruins and the No. 8 WASHINGTON Huskies at Farrington Stadium, where the Devils have won five of their last six games.

CALIFORNIA senior catcher Courtney Scott has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Softball Player of the Week, while UCLA junior Keira Goerl and ARIZONA freshman Alicia Hollowell have been named Co-Pitchers of the Week for April 28 -May 4, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Scott, from Clovis, Calif., hit .833 (5-for-6) with a double, two home runs and six RBI. She also scored three runs and posted a 2.000 slugging percentage. In Cal's win against ARIZONA STATE on Friday, she was 3-for-3 with a double and two three-run homers, for a career-high six RBI day. Defensively, she had four assists and nine putouts.
Goerl, from Moreno Valley, Calif., went 2-0 for the weekend, posting a paltry 0.00 ERA, with 17 strikeouts in 13 innings pitched, allowing just three hits. She posted her 13th one-hitter of the year in the Bruin's 11-0 victory at WASHINGTON on Wednesday.
Hollowell, from Suisun, Calif., notched a 2-0 record over the weekend, and a 0.00 ERA. She rung up 19 strikeouts in 14 innings pitched, allowing only one run. In a 6-0 win at STANFORD on Sunday, Hollowell had her ninth one-hitter of the season, and her 11th double-digit strikeout performance.
It is the second weekly award for Scott, the 52nd all-time for California. It is the fifth honor for Hollowell, the 81st all-time weekly honor for the Wildcats. For Goerl, it is her ninth weekly honor, and it is the 74th all-time weekly award for the Bruins.
