Softball To Host Viewing For NCAA Regional Bids

EUGENE - The 18th ranked University of Oregon softball team will be on hand in the Pittman Room at the Len Casanova Athletic Center to watch the 2003 NCAA selection show Sunday, May11. The at-large teams, top eight national seeds and first round pairings will be announced live on ESPNEWS at 7 p.m. PST. The event is open to working members of the media as well as the general public. Fans are encouraged to arrive by 6:30 p.m.

Under the direction of first-year head coach Kathy Arendsen, the Ducks are expected to return to postseason play for the first time since the 2000 season. Oregon is 30-16 overall, 8-10 Pacific-10 Conference heading into the final weekend of conference play. The Ducks have not won eight conference games since winning 10 games in 1999.
