School Record Eight Softball Players Earn All-Pac-10 Honors

TEMPE, Ariz. - A school record eight Arizona State softball players, headed by first-team selections, Kara Brun and Phelan Wright, earned All-Pacific-10 Conference honors announced Tuesday by the Pacific-10 office.

This is Brun's fourth All-Pac-10 honor and second straight first team selection. Brun leads the team in batting average (.390), hits (62) and doubles (13).

Wright, a junior All-American, earns her third All-Pac-10 honor and second consecutive first team selection. Wright leads the team in home runs (15) also a single-season record and RBIs (46).

Senior catcher Adriana Garcia earned second-team honors after having a career year with the Sun Devils. Garcia is hitting .286 with career-highs in home runs (8) and RBIs (29).

Five players garnered Honorable Mention honors including redshirt freshman pitcher Desiree Serrano, freshman pitcher/first baseman Ashley Werschky, junior designated player Cheryl Evans, junior outfielder Kristin Farber (second honor) and senior outfielder Jennifer Forner.
