The top-ranked CALIFORNIA men captured their sixth consecutive Pac-10 title, while the top-ranked WASHINGTON women won their 12th straight Conference crown Sunday at the Pacific-10 Conference Rowing Championships at Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif.

Although they did not win any individual events, the Washington women claimed the team trophy with three second-place finishes and one third-place finish. STANFORD was the surprise winner in the women's varsity eight race, putting an end to the Huskies' streak of 11 straight Pac-10 championships in that event. California finished second in the women's team scoring, jut two points behind the Huskies. The Golden Bear women captured the women's second varsity eight and women's varsity four titles and were second in the women's novice eight.

The Golden Bear men finished second to fourth-ranked WASHINGTON in the men's varsity eight race, UW's first Conference varsity eight title since 1997. California won the three remaining events. OREGON STATE took second place, taking second in the men's freshman/novice eight and third in the men's varsity eight.
