Men's Doubles Team Falls In Opening Round Of NCAAs

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State men's tennis doubles team of Olivier Charroin and Chris Stewart fell in straight sets to Illinois' Rajeev Ram and Brian Wilson, 7-5, 6-2, in the opening round of 32 at the 2003 NCAA Doubles Championship in Athens, Georgia.

The pair, currently ranked No. 28 in the country by the ITA, won the Southern California Regional doubles championship and then went on to the ITA National Indoors doubles championship where they advanced to the second round. Dating back to last season, Charroin and Stewart are a combined 34-14. They were 7-6 in dual action this year at the No. 1 slot and finished with a 17-9 overall mark.
