Morgan Finishes NCAA Play With Another 73

West Lafayette, IN - Washington junior Lindsay Morgan turned in her second consecutive round of 1-over 73 to finish the NCAA Championships tied for 66th at 24-over 312. Morgan opened the tournament with rounds of 80 and 86 while playing in windy conditions at Purdue Kampen Golf Course.

Southern California won its first NCAA title by shooting 8-over 296 during the final round to run away from the field. The Trojans, who led all four rounds, were 15 strokes better than second-place Pepperdine. USC finished with a 72-hole total of 1197. Texas was third at 1213.

The Trojans Mikaela Parmlid and Florida's Andrea Vander Lende both shot 5-over 77 during the final round to tie for medalist honors at 9-over 297. Parmlid defeated Lende on the first hole of the playoff for the individual championship. Arizona's Erica Blasberg and USC's Irene Cho tied for third, one stroke behind the leaders.
