Scott Lipsky/David Martin Move Into NCAA Doubles Semifinals

ATHENS, Ga. - Stanford seniors Scott Lipsky (Merrick, NY) and David Martin (Tulsa, OK) advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Doubles Championship on Saturday afternoon at the University of Georgia. This is the third straight year that Lipsky and Martin have reached at least the semifinals, and the fifth time in the last six years that Stanford has had a doubles team advance to the semis.
Fourth-ranked and fourth-seeded Lipsky and Martin outlasted sixth-ranked and No. 5-8 seeds Diego Acuna and Calle Hansen of Pepperdine 6-1, 6-7, 6-1. This was Lipsky and Martin's second win in as many tries this season against the Pepperdine team, including an 8-4 triumph on April 15 at Stanford.
In Sunday's semifinals, Lipsky and Martin will face 29th-ranked Benedikt Dorsch and Reiner Neurohr of Baylor or second-ranked and second-seeded Oliver Maiberger and Ryan Redondo of San Diego State.
