Veress, Jacobs Lead Pac-10 Tennis All-Academic Choices

BERKELEY - Led by first team selections Balazs Veress and Jieun Jacobs, Cal placed 10 players on the men's and women's Pac-10 All-Academic teams.

Veress, a junior, repeated on the five-player first team men's unit. He owns a 3.76 GPA as a business administration major. In addition, sophomore Patrick Briaud (3.52 GPA, undeclared) and senior John Paul Fruttero (3.16 GPA, undeclared) earned second team honors, and redshirt-freshman William Dean Wallace and junior Wayne Wong received honorable mention notice.

On the women's side, Jacobs has a 3.58 GPA in history and moved up after gaining a spot on the second team last year. Redshirt-freshman Brooke Borisoff, senior Christina Fusano, junior Nicole Havlicek and junior Raquel Kops-Jones were honorable mention choices.
