WSU's Football TV Schedule Announced
June 16, 2003
PULLMAN, Wash. -- - Washington State Cougar football games against Notre Dame, USC and UCLA have already been selected for live television coverage this fall, according to WSU Athletics Director Jim Sterk.
ABC Sports has announced WSU games at USC Nov. 1 and with UCLA Nov. 8 in Pullman have been selected for regional coverage as part of their agreement with the Pacific-10 Conference. Both games will kick off at 4:00 p.m.
'ABC's early selection of Washington State University games indicates they feel as we do about the 2003 Cougar football team,' Sterk said. 'There is a lot of interest in this team, coming off back-to-back 10-win seasons.'
In addition, WSU's non-conference game at Notre Dame will be televised live to a national audience by NBC. The Cougar-Irish match-up from South Bend, Ind., is scheduled to kick off at 11:30 a.m. Pacific time.
Sterk indicated several other Cougar games are under consideration for television coverage by both ABC Sports and by FOX Sports and TBS. The Pac-10 television packages with FOX and TBS also provide national coverage.
'I look forward to additional television selections for WSU when the in-season choices are announced,' Sterk said.
All 12 Cougar games this fall will also be shown by FOX Sports Net Northwest on a delayed basis, according to Sterk. He said in most cases the next-day replays will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the FOX Sports Net Northwest cable outlets in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska.
