David Oh And Chris Botsford Advance To Match Play At U.S. Amateur

Oakmont, Penn. - Two outgoing Trojan seniors--Chris Botsford and David Oh--qualified for match play today at the 2003 U.S. Men's Amateur Golf Championship held at Oakmont Country Club.

Botsford's 75 in today's second round came on the heels of a first-round 69, giving him a total of 144 to put him in 24th after the completion of stroke play.

Oh shot 72 today after shooting 73 yesterday. His 145 total put him in 26th in stroke play.

Botsford will face Kenny Cook of Muncie, Ind., in match play on Wednesday, while Oh will go up against David Robinson of Sandersville, Ga.

Current Trojan junior Nico Bollini shot 162 in stroke play and did not advance to match play.

Former Trojans Amit Chopra, Craig Steinberg and Terrence Miskell also competed.

The Amateur continues until Sunday (Aug. 24).
