Five Gymnasts Named Scholastic All-Americans

Five Oregon State gymnasts were among the athletes named 2003 Scholastic All-Americans by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches.
A gymnast must have maintained a 3.50 grade point average for the entire 2002-2003 school year to be named to the team.
Nelson and Piazza are repeat recipients of the award, with both earning the distinction last year as well. This year, Nelson recorded a 3.91 GPA as an exercise and sport science major. Piazza, also an exercise and sport science major, had a 3.78 GPA during her sophomore year at OSU.
Lamun, a general science major, finished her first year in college with a 3.70 GPA. A liberal studies major, Jillson had a 3.62 GPA during her final year on the team. Videan, a business administration major, recorded a 3.61 GPA during the 2002-2003 school year.
