No. 4 Cal Travels to Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational

BERKELEY, Calif. - The fourth-ranked California women's golf team travels to the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Redmond, Wash., Monday-Wednesday, Oct. 6-8. The 54-hole tournament is staged at the Sahalee Golf and Country Club on the par 72, 6,030-yard course.
The field for this year's nationally-loaded Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational consists of Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, Cal, Long Beach State, Nevada, Oregon, Oregon State, San Francisco, USC, Stanford, Washington, Washington State, UCLA and UNLV.
USC won the 2002 Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational by 15-strokes (885) over host Washington (900). Pepperdine finished third at 903, and Cal was fourth at 903 in the only fall tournament it didn't win last season.
The Trojans' Mikaela Parmlid claimed the individual crown at 214, but she needed a one-hole playoff to defeat Pepperdine's Lindsey Wright. Former Bears Vikki Laing and Mika Takayama paced Cal by tying for seventh (222).
The 2003 Golden Bears haven't played since they opened the season with a victory at The Topy Cup Sept. 9-11 in Japan.
