<b>California Forward Mike Munoz Named Pac-10 Player of the Week</b>

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- CALIFORNIA junior forward Mike Munoz has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Sept. 30-Oct. 6, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Munoz, from Los Alamitos, Calif., notched a goal and an assist in the Golden Bears' 3-1 Pac-10 opening win over rival Stanford on Oct. 5. Munoz scored Cal's first goal in the 18th minute and added an assist on the Bears' third goal, in the 55th minute. He ranks second on the team with seven points (2 goals/3 assists) and is seventh in the Pac-10 in shots per game (2.30 avg.).
California (5-4-1 overall, 1-0-0 Pac-10) hosts No. 9/No. 8 Washington (7-1-1, 1-1-0) and Oregon State (7-4-0, 1-1-0) this weekend.
This is the first weekly honor for Munoz and the fifth all-time Player of the Week honor for California.
