Canizares Ties For Third, Sun Devils Notch Second In Men's Golf Tournament

Sophomore Alejandro Canizares tied for third with a 1-over 217 (73-72-72) at The Club Glove Intercollegiate, held at the 6,858-yard, par 72 Saticoy Country Club in Somis, Calif. Arizona State finished second to host Pepperdine with a 18-over 882, while the Waves won the title with a 7-over 871.

Freshman Niklas Lemke shot a 4-over 220 and finished tied for 11th in his first collegiate event. Junior Jesse Mueller tied for 13th at 5-over 221 (74-76-71).

Arizona State will next compete in its final fall event at the Match Play Championships held in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on Nov. 6-9.
