Vlaski In Midst Of Rain-Delayed Semifinal Match At ITA All-American Championships

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Washington's Alex Vlaski won his quarterfinal match and is in the midst of his semifinal contest which a rain delay has postponed until tomorrow at the Icy Hot/ITA All-American Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn., Saturday.
Vlaski, the tournament's fourth-seeded player, defeated Pac-10 opponent Chris Lam from UCLA in this morning's quarterfinals 7-6 (6), 1-6, 6-2. The Husky All-American was then slated to face sixth-seeded Michael Kogan from Tulane in the semifinals. Vlaski won the first set, 6-2, and Kogan was up 4-3 in the second set before rainy conditions postponed the rest of the match to be continued Sunday, at 10 a.m. ET.
Should Vlaski emerge victorious in the semifinals, he will face top-seed Benedikt Dorsch from Baylor in the finals at 1 p.m. ET. Dorsch defeated Izak van der Merwe from Old Dominion in the other semifinal match, 6-4, 6-4.
