No. 1 UCLA tops Cal, 4-2

Los Angeles, Calif. - Cal fell to No. 1 UCLA tonight in Los Angeles, 4-2. The Bears fought back to tie the game twice, but their effort was not enough.

UCLA struck first in the 16th minute, with Matt Taylor beating goalkeeper Mike Oseguera. Taylor would score two goals in the game including the game winner, while also adding an assist.

Cal's Eric Ebert notched a goal in the 37th minute and Carl Acosta scored his eighth goal of the season in the 60th minute.

On this night though, in front of 1,067 fans at Drake Stadium, it was not enough.

Cal did score the first goals against UCLA at home. Oseguera made three saves, while standout goalkeeper Zach Wells made five.
