Bruins Remain in Third Place at Stanford Invitational

The UCLA women's golf team remained in third place at the Stanford Invitational after two rounds on the Stanford Golf Course in Palo Alto.

The Bruins are one of three teams under par after 36 holes, posting their second straight round below par, a score of 285. UCLA owns a two-day total of 568, eight-under par and trails Duke at 559 (-17) and Washington 560 (-16). California is fourth at 577 (+1) and Vanderbilt is fifth at 579 (+3).

Individually for the Bruins, junior All-American Charlotte Mayorkas posted her second straight score below par, firing a two-under par 70. She is tied for eighth at three-under 141. Sophomore Susie Mathews also carded a 70 and is tied for 10th at two-under 142. Senior Hana Kim is tied for 15th at 143 (-1) after posting a 72, and senior Gina Umeck is tied for 24th at 145 after shooting a 73. Senior Bridget Dwyer shot a 77 and is tied for 28th at 146.

Duke's Elizabeth Janangelo leads the field at nine-under par 135 after posting a 67 on Saturday.
