Season Update ...
Stanford, 8-7-2/3-2-1 Pac-10, split with the Oregon schools last weekend after a 3-1 victory over Oregon and a 0-1 loss at Oregon State. Stanford has tallied a 3-4-1 record on Maloney Field in 2003. Senior co-captain Allyson Marquand continues to lead the Cardinal with seven goals, 16 points, 53 shots and two assists. Stanford has attempted 253 shots (126 on goal), scoring on 20 of these attempts to average 1.13 goals per game. All-American goalkeeper Nicole Barnhart has tallied 50 saves.
National Rankings ...
Stanford is ranked No. 17 in the Soccer America national polls. Washington is ranked No. 14 by the NSCAA, No. 22 by Soccer America and No. 24 by Soccer Buzz.
Scouting Washington ...
The No. 14 Huskies, 1-1-1 on the road, boast a 9-4-3 overall and 2-2-1 conference record this season. Washington downed intrastate rival Washington State last weekend 2-0. Junior forward Tina Frimpong leads the squad with 10 goals and 50 shot attempts. Senior goalkeeper Lisa Brookens has tallied 63 saves and seven shutouts in 1,536 minutes of play this season.
Cardinal-Husky Series ...
Stanford leads the all-time Cardinal-Husky series 10-1-2. In 2002, the Cardinal shut out Washington 1-0 at the Husky Soccer Field with a score from Jennifer Farenbaugh.
Scouting Washington State ...
The Cougars, 0-6 on the road, stand at 5-9-1 overall and 1-3-1 in conference action this season. Last weekend, the Cougars were shut out by Washington 2-0. Washington State has tallied 13 goals and 214 shot attempts (92 on goal) in 2003. Senior co-captain Rachel Rodrick leads the team with five goals and 45 shots. Goalkeeper Kaite Hultin has notched 53 saves and five shutouts this season.

Stanford leads the all-time Cardinal-Cougar series 11-1. In their last meeting, the Cardinal downed Washington State 1-0 with a score from Marcie Ward.

All-American goalkeeper Nicole Barnhart stands at No. 3 in the Cardinal record books after notching her 27th and 28th career shutouts against No. 3 UCLA and USC. Last season, Barnhart set single-season Cardinal records in minutes played (2,047), total shutouts (18), goals allowed (4) and goals against average (0.189).
