Students Have First Chance At UA-ASU Hoops Tickets Until Nov. 21
Nov. 7, 2003
ASU students who have purchased season tickets can pick up their admission voucher for the Jan. 3 Arizona game at the Sun Devil Ticket Office (480-965-2381). The voucher, along with a season ticket card and a valid student ID, will be required to enter the game.
Vouchers are no additional cost, and can be picked up at the Sun Devil Ticket Office, located at the south end of Sun Devil Stadium, until November 21. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
ASU has sold more than 3,500 student tickets this year and added sections N1, N2 and parts of sections P1, Q1 and Z1 to increase the capacity, which was 1,865 last year. Because the game is over the holiday break, Arizona State has implemented the plan to make sure students and season ticket holders have top priority before tickets go on sale to the general public on Dec. 1.
Current football and basketball season ticket holders, along with ticket holders to the UA-ASU football game on Nov. 28, have first priority until Dec. 1, when all tickets go on sale to the public. Last year's Arizona game drew 14,421 fans on Jan. 22, 2003, the largest home crowd since 1979-80. This year's game tips at 1:30 p.m. MST and will be televised by Fox Sports Net. It is the Pac-10 opener for both teams.
Students must bring a student ID, a basketball season ticket card, or a Football/Basketball combo card to pick up a voucher. Students that purchased season Guest Passes may pick up a voucher for the guest pass, as long as it is shown at the window when picking up a voucher. Students can only receive a voucher for the number of season tickets that are on their personal account and may not bring other student IDs and season ticket cards and pick up for other students.
Students without the voucher will not be admitted into the game and vouchers will not be distributed after November 21.
