Aaron Lopez Selected Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player Of The Week

Walnut Creek, Calif. - UCLA junior defensive midfielder Aaron Lopez has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Nov. 4-10, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Lopez, from Santa Barbara, Calif., helped the Bruins clinch the Pac-10 title with two solid games. Against Washington (Nov. 7), Lopez scored his first goal of the season and the game-winning goal in a 1-0 shutout of the Huskies. Two days later, in the title-clinching match against Oregon State, Lopez assisted on the Bruins' second goal of the game.
Lopez helped the Bruins earn their fifth and sixth consecutive shutouts over the weekend, their 13th and 14th overall on the season. With the two shutout victories, UCLA lowered its goals against average to 0.33. The Bruins, winners of 15 straight, wrap up the regular season at home against Fresno State on Saturday.
This is Lopez's first weekly honor, and the 17th all -time Player of the Week for the Bruins.
