Sunkist Kids/Sun Devil Winter Wrestling Clinic Set for November 30

TEMPE, Ariz. - Three former Iowa Hawkeye wrestling stars will be on hand for the Sunkist Kids/Sun Devil Coaches and Wrestlers Winter Clinic Sunday, Nov. 30, prior to the start of Arizona State's home opening dual with Iowa. The technique clinic will be held inside Wells Fargo Arena starting at 10 a.m. with registration set for 9:30 a.m.

The three featured clinicians include three-time national champion and Sunkist Kids World Team member Joe Williams, Olympic and three-time national champion Tom Brands and Steve Martin, head coach at Great Bridge High School, who was an All-American and a Granby Technique Great. The order of the clinic will be Williams on the mat at 10 a.m., Brands at 11 a.m. and Martin at Noon. Current Sun Devil wrestlers also will be on hand as counselors.

Registration, which will be limited to the first 75 wrestlers, is $40 per wrestler and coach and any coach that brings five or more wrestlers will be admitted free. Each participant will receive training in World Class Technique, a T-shirt and free admittance into the Iowa-Arizona State dual at 2 p.m. the same day. The Sun Devils, ranked as high as No. 20 in preseason national Top 25 polls, will open the season Nov. 23 in Columbia, Mo., at the Missouri Open. ASU's first dual of the season, as well as its first home competition, will be one week later with the Hawkeyes.
