Stanford, Calif. - Stanford women's volleyball senior Sara McGee, a 2002 AVCA First Team All-American, along with junior Ogonna Nnamani, a 2002 AVCA Second Team All-American, have been named to the 2003 Academic All-District VIII first team. The announcement was made on Thursday, Nov. 13, by the CoSIDA District VIII committee.

McGee and Nnamani are among six athletes selected from District VIII, and will now be included on the national women's volleyball Academic All-American ballot. First, second and third team national winners will be announced on Dec. 5.

Athletes must have at least a 3.20 GPA, be a 'starter' or 'important reserve' on their team and must be in at least their second season at their school to be eligible.
