Amy LePeilbet Earns Academic All-America Honors

Tempe, Ariz. - For the third time in her outstanding four-year career, Arizona State soccer player Amy LePeilbet (Crystal Lake, Ill.) has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Women's Soccer Academic All-America team. A senior defender, LePeilbet earns her first, first-team honor after claiming third-team accolades the previous two seasons.
A U.S. U-21 National Team player and a three-time All-Pacific-10 Conference first team selection, LePeilbet did not miss a start in her four-years at ASU, playing in 74 career games. An Education major with a 3.81 G.P.A., she led the Sun Devils to their second straight NCAA Tournament (third in her four years), finishing with a 13-5-3 record and a final national ranking of 14th in the nation. The team's top defender, LePeilbet also scored three goals, including two game-winners while leading a defense that allowed 1.05 goals per game and posted eight shutouts.
