Sophomore Kim Glass Named Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.- Arizona outside hitter Kim Glass has been named Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week for Nov. 17- 23, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Glass, a sophomore from Lancaster, Pa., racked up 58 kills (7.25 kpg) on 104 attempts for a .356 hitting percentage in Arizona's two matches against the Washington schools. Glass snapped Arizona's single-season record for kills in the process and recorded her school record-tying, and breaking, 30th and 31st matches with 20 or more kills. Glass led all players with 27 kills in the match against the No. 11-ranked Huskies, including 12 kills on just 14 swings with only one error (.786) in the decisive game four win. Her 31-kill effort against Washington State was her third 30-plus kill match of the season and the fourth of her career, tying a school record.
Behind Glass, Arizona has come roaring back into the postseason picture having won eight of their last 11 matches. With one match remaining, the Wildcats are four games above .500 and finished 10-8 in the Pac-10.
This is the third weekly honor for Glass, and Arizona's 20th Player of the Week all-time.
