Williams and Frederick Named to All-Pac-10 Squad

Seattle - Husky junior wide receiver Reggie Williams and junior kick returner Charles Frederick were named first-team selections to the 2003 All-Pac-10 football team that was announced today. The all-conference team is voted on by the league's coaches.
Williams leads the Pac-10 and is fourth nationally with 7.42 receptions per game. He averaged 106.9 receiving yards per game while pulling down 89 catches for 1,109 yards and eight scores. Williams was a first-team all-Pac-10 selection in 2002 and was the co-freshman of the year in 2001. Williams become the first UW receiver to earn first-team All-Pac-10 honors twice.
Frederick led the Pac-10 in punt returns with an average of 11.72 per runback. Frederick returned a total of 29 punts for 340 and had an 86-yarder for a score against Oregon State while piling up a school record of 371 all-purpose yards. Frederick also had 13 kickoff returns, averaging 20.6 yards per return.
Pickett, who passed for 3043 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, was a second-team selection in 2002. Derrick Johnson, who is third in the Pac-10 and tied for 12th nationally with .50 interceptions per game, also repeated as a second-team selection. Terry Johnson, who had 18.5 tackles for loss (third in the Pac-10) and 10 sacks this season, received all-Pac-10 honors for the first time along with Newton.
Six other Husky players received honorable mention all-Pac-10 honors. That list included senior center Todd Bachert, junior offensive tackle Khalif Barnes, senior safety Owen Biddle, senior outside linebacker Greg Carothers, senior defensive tackle Jerome Stevens and junior fullback Zach Tuiasosopo.
