Matt Lottich Wins Pac-10 Player of the Week Honors

Walnut Creek, Ca - Stanford guard Matt Lottich has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for December 2-7, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Lottich, a senior guard from Winnetka, Ill, led the Cardinal to a 64-58 victory over then #1 ranked Kansas on Dec. 6 at the John Wooden Classic in Anaheim. Lottich scored 18 points (five 3-pointers) along with 3-for-3 shooting from the free throw line. Lottich added five rebounds, four assists and one steal as Stanford upped its season record to 4-0.
This is the second straight week that a Stanford player has won Pac-10 Player of the Week honors. Last week, Chris Hernandez scored 39 points (a career-high 22 points at UCI) in wins at UC Irvine and Rice. Hernandez was 12-for-15 from the floor, 8-for-10 from three-point range, and 7-for-7 from the free throw line in the two games.
Stanford returns to action on Dec. 13 against UNLV at Maples Pavilion. Game time is 3:00 p.m.
