T.J. Paterick Leaves Cougar Basketball Program

Jan. 14, 2004

PULLMAN, Wash. -- Freshman guard T.J. Paterick has left the Washington State men's basketball program, Cougar Head Coach Dick Bennett announced Tuesday. An invited walk-on, Paterick played in nine games, including three starts. The Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., native also missed four games with a deep right thigh bruise.

'I think it was just a case of a young man being home sick,' Bennett said. 'I believe he is going to transfer to a school closer to home where his parents and friends can see him play.'

Paterick averaged 2.3 points and 1.3 assists for the Cougars.
