Trojans Defeat Antillana De Acero in Estadio Latinoamericano, 16-0

HAVANA, Cuba -- The USC baseball team combined for four home runs and 19 hits as the Trojans registered a 16-0 exhibition win Monday against Antillana De Acero in Estadio Latinoamericano. Baron Frost went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI while Billy Hart went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.
The game was halted after seven innings due to a mercy rule set before the game. Both teams used aluminum bats with the Trojans utilizing wood bats in earlier 12-3 and 20-10 victories.
The Trojans finished its trip to Cuba with a 3-0 record and will return to Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
USC will play its Alumni Game on Saturday (Feb. 7) at 1 p.m. at Dedeaux Field with the 2004 regular season opener on Friday (Feb. 13) at Long Beach State. The Trojansï¿½ home opener will be on Saturday (Feb. 14) at 1 p.m. with a special celebration to honor the 90th birthday of former USC coach Rod Dedeaux. Hall of Famer and former Trojan Tom Seaver will be a part of the ceremonies.
