Jan. 29, 2004

Q: What are you striving to achieve personally this season?A: 'To be a leader during the games. I'm not too concerned about personal goals; I just want to do whatever it takes to have a winning season.'

Q: What do you think about the addition of Don Marbut and Brent Fattore to the coaching staff?A: 'It's a good addition. They both work well together. They are synchronized and are good at keeping things organized. They are always there for extra help.'

Q: What are you looking forward to most this season?A: 'Turning things around and having a winning season.'

Q: Are there any opponents that you are particularly looking forward to playing?A: 'I have friends at Arizona, ASU, Washington and California that I played with and against growing up. I'm looking forward to playing them because it's always more fun to play against guys you know.'

Q: What do you think about your younger brother Jeff coming to WSU to play on the team this year?A: 'I'm glad he's on the team. I've played with him my whole life. He works hard and he will bring toughness to the team.'

Q: Did you try to help recruit him?A: 'No, it was really important for me that he made his decision on his own and that he didn't come here because I was here.'

Q: Who gets more attention from girls, you or Jeff?A: 'We're probably about even.'

Q: If you could trade places with anyone who would it be and why?A: 'Burdette Greeny (a WSU equipment manager), because it seems like he's in charge. And he gets as much equipment as he wants.'

Q: If you were stranded on a desert island that just happened to have electricity what three things would you bring with you?A: 'A TV, a microwave and a radio.'

Q: If you could bring three people with you to this island who would you bring?A: 'Brittany Spears, Jessica Alba and Jennifer Lopez.'

Q: Any guys?A: 'Nope'

Q: You came from Newport High, a school with a successful baseball tradition. What have you learned it takes to be successful that you brought to WSU?A: 'It takes a lot of hard work to win. You have to not just practice but go out and do stuff on your own. You have to really want to win.'

Q: What do you do to prepare to play?A: 'I try to relax by listening to music. I listen to all different kinds of music but I have either Audio Slave or O.A.R.'
