Seattle - The Seattle Pacific women's gymnastics team defeated Washington 192.875 to 191.475 in a dual meet held at SPU's Brougham Pavilion. Washington did not field its usual lineup after finishing second Friday in a four-way meet that included sixth-ranked Utah. The two teams will meet again Friday along with Boise State at Bank of America Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion. The meet begins at 7 p.m.

Washington's Tacia LaBatte, an all-arounder, did not compete in the event while Emily Pritchard and Kelly McDonald's, Washington's other top all-arounders, only competed on bars.

Washington won or tied for first in all four events. Carly Dockendorf took top honors on vault with a 9.800, tying the Falcons' Kari Kelly. Kelly McDonald was first on bars at 9.925 while Molly Seaman was first on beam at 9.875. Dockendorf took top honors on floor with a 9.900.

SPU's Corrie McDaniel won the all-around with a score of 38.500. Washington junior Kim Lewis, competing in the all-around for the first time in her career, was second at 38.050.

Seattle Pacific was down three-tenths heading into the floor exercise but out-tumbled Washington 48.525 to 46.925 during the final rotation. The Falcons, final team total of 192.875 was just .25 off their season-high set March 5 (192.900).
