Krug And Rosenthal Qualify For NCAA Championships On Second Day Of Zone E Meet

Oklahoma City, Okla. - Cassidy Krug and Ashlee Rosenthal qualified for the NCAA Championships with their performances in the 3-meter competition on the second day of the NCAA Zone E Diving Meet on Friday at the Oklahoma Community College Pool. Krug's fourth-place showing in the 3-meter event was Stanford's top performance, while Rosenthal placed sixth. Krug combined for 483.00 points in the trials and finals rounds. Rosenthal finished with 473.35 points, while Sara Bowling was eighth (466.80) and Erin Lashnits finished 14th (405.80).
Arizona's Mary Yarrison won the event with 496.30 points to automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships, while Arizona State's Trisha Tumlinson (486.85) and UCLA's Paige Thompson (485.00) completed the top three finishers. Tumlinson had already qualified for the NCAA Championships by winning the 1-meter competition. on the first day of the event on Thursday.
The NCAA Zone E Diving Meet concludes Saturday with the platform competition (11 am, CT). The winner of the platform will automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships.
