No. 25 Arizona Men's Tennis Tripped Up by No. 4 USC

Los Angeles (March 13) - The No. 25 University of Arizona men's tennis team (8-6, 0-2 Pac-10) dropped its Pac-10 road match at USC (10-2, 3-0 Pac-10), 6-1, on Saturday at Marks Tennis Stadium. Sophomore Roger Matalonga captured Arizona's only victory of the match with an upset win over the Trojans' No. 25 Adriano Biasello, 6-2, 6-0.
For the second consecutive match, Arizona was unable to claim a doubles point, as the tandems of Matalonga and junior Colin O'Grady (8-5), sophomore Daniel Andrus and junior Paul Warkentin (8-3), and senior Whi Kim and sophomore Tim Mullane (8-4) all suffered defeats.
In singles action, USC swept all six matches over the Wildcats. In the final match, Warkentin was able to claim the first set of his match against Daniel Langre 6-1, but dropped the next two sets by counts of 6-3.
Arizona will return home on Saturday, March 20, to host Ball St. at noon at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.
