Cal Finishes Seventh at Pac-10 Championships

Tuscon, Ariz. - Cal scored over 195.000 for the eighth time in its last night meets, notching a 195.625 and finishing seventh at Pac-10 Championships. Against some of the toughest competition in the country, Stanford won the meet with a 197.900.

Stephanie Kim had her second consecutive great performance, scoring a 39.425 in the all-around - her second highest score of the season behind the 39.650 she scored last weekend. My-Lan Dodd added a 39.275, while Britani Pittullo notched a 38.925 in her first all-around of the season. Stanford's Natalie Foley won the all-around with a 39.800.

Pittullo led the way for the Bears on vault scoring a 9.850, while Kim chipped in with a 9.825. The Bears scored 49.050 as a team.

On the bars, Monique Chang delighted the crowd with a 9.900 and Pittullo added a 9.875 for a new personal best. Cal managed a 49.150 in the event.

Dodd finished tied for first on the beam with a 9.950, tying her personal best with a new season-high. Kim and Miho Maeda added 9.850's as the Bears scored a 49.175 - their best score on any event in what has been statically their worst event.

Finally, on the floor Kim scored a 9.900 to cap off another great meet for the Bears' senior. Cal ended with a tally of 48.250 in the discipline.

Regional Finals will be held Saturday, April 3 at a site yet to be determined.
