Men's Golf In Fifth After Round Two Of Oregon Invitational

Junction City, Ore. - The Stanford men's golf team shot rounds of 290 and 296 on the opening day of competition at the Oregon Duck Invitational at the Shadow Hills Country Club in Junction City, Oregon. The Cardinal two-round total stands at 586 and puts them in fifth place overall heading into the final round. Oregon and San Diego State lead the field with a 574, followed by Oregon State (578), Nevada (585) and Stanford (586).
Stanford's Zack Miller shot rounds of 70 and 72 and is currently tied for fifth on the leaderboard with a 142. Kyle Gentry and teammate Kevin Blue are tied for 28th after carding a 149. Blake Mastatlir is tied for 48th (72-80--152) and Brandon Lawson is tied for 61st (80-74--154). Matt Savage and Eric Johnson, who are competing as individuals, are tied for 69th (155) and 76th (158) respectively.
Jonathan Green from Oregon State leads the field with a 138 after firing back-to-back rounds of 69. Teammate Brad Simpson is only one stroke behind in second place.
Final round action concludes tomorrow at the Shadow Hill Country Club.
