Men's Golf Takes Third At Oregon Duck Invitational

Junction City, Ore. - The Stanford men's golf team fired a final round of 293 at the Oregon Duck Invitational at the Shadow Hills Country Club to move up the leaderboard into third place. The Cardinal carded a three-round total of 879 for the tournament. San Diego State took top honors with an 861, followed by Oregon (867), Stanford (879), Oregon State (884) and Nevada (888).
Stanford's Zack Miller tied for fourth on the individual leaderboard after posting a three-round score of one-under par 215 (70-72-73). Kyle Gentry tied for 20th with a 223 (75-74-74) while teammate Blake Mastalir, fired a par 72 on the final day to move into a tie for 24th with a 224 (72-80-72). Teammate Brandon Lawson tied for 41st after carding a 228 (80-74-74) while Kevin Blue tied for 47th (73-76-80--229). Matt Savage, competing as an individual, tied for 71st (78-77-80--235). Eric Johnson, also competing as an individual, tied for 76th (81-77-79--237).
San Diego State's Jeff Hansen won top medalist honors, firing a five-under par 211 for the tournament. Oregon State's Brad Simpson was second (212), followed by Mark Warman (213) from SDSU.
