Cal Aquatics Advances

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Cal alum Joe Bruckart finished tenth in the men's 200-meter individual medley semi-finals today at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials. Bruckart swam a 2:03.76 time. The top eight advance to the final.

California Aquatics swimmers, Gabrielle Rose, Gary Hall Jr., and Sabir Muhammad - all of whom train with men's co-head coach Mike Bottom, competed today as well. Rose made the women's 100 freestyle finals, finishing fifth at 55.42. Gary Hall finished third in the men's 100-meter freestyle finals (49.16), followed by Muhammad in eighth (50.13).

NBC will broadcast coverage of the U.S. Swimming Olympic Team Trials tonight from 8-9 p.m.
