Coughlin and Stitts To Swim in Finals

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Natalie Coughlin finished first again, this time in the women's 100-meter semi-final, to advance to tomorrow's final. The former Cal swimmer, who is also the American record holder in the event (53.99), won in 54.30 seconds. Alum Haley Cope finished 14th in the semi-final, 56.11.
Alum Staciana Stitts will swim in the finals of 200-meter breaststroke tomorrow, as well, after finishing fourth in 2:28.78 in today's semi-finals.
NBC will broadcast coverage of the U.S. Swimming Olympic Team Trials tonight from 8-9 p.m.
