Dana Kirk Just Misses Spot In 200 Meter Fly Olympic Finals

Athens, Greece - Dana Kirk (Stanford junior in 2004-05) just missed qualifying for the finals in the 200 meter fly at the 2004 Olympics on Tuesday with a ninth-place overall showing in the semifinals (fourth in her semifinal), clocking in with a time of 2:10.69 that left her one spot and .22 seconds behind the eighth and final qualifying finisher. Earlier in the day, Kirk had placed 12th overall in the heats and third in her heat with a time of 2:11.96.
