Baseball Fall Practice Schedule Set

SEATTLE - The Washington baseball team will get the fall practice season underway Sat., Sept. 13. Theteam will also hold its annual alumni golf tournament on Sept. 24 and the alumni game onSept. 25.Practices, as well as the 'Fall World Series' intrasquad games, are all open to the publicwith no charge for admission. However, there is a charge for the golf tournament and forfood and beverage at the alumni game.The golf tournament will take place at Washington National Golf Club, Fri., Sept. 24, at acost of $150 per person. That charge covers green fee, cart, lunch and awards dinnerbanquet. Registration begins at 11:00 a.m. and the tournament itself gets underway at 1:30p.m. Hole and green sponsorships are available.The alumni game begins at 9:30 a.m. on Sat., Sept. 25. The on-field activities will end priorto the start of the UW football game at Notre Dame (12:30 p.m.) and lunch will be served inthe Don James Center, where the football game will be shown on a big-screen TV. The costfor lunch and beverages is $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12.To sign up for any of the above, contact Sherry Eischen in the Husky Baseball office at(206) 543-9365 and she will send the appropriate information. Registration for the golftournament and alumni game should be completed by Sept. 10.The practice season gets going Monday, Sept. 13 with the first set of two-a-days. The flalconcluded with the traditional seven-game series of intrasquad games, the Fall WorldSeries. Washington is slated to open the 2005 season Fri., Feb. 11 at UC Irvine.While it may change due to weather or other factors, the fall practice schedule is as follows:
