Eisenberg Named to Soccer America Team of the Week
Sept. 15, 2004
BERKELEY, Calif. - California junior forward Liz Eisenberg added Soccer America Team of the Week honors today to the Pac-10 Player of the Week accolade she received yesterday. Both selections are the first of her career.
Eisenberg, from San Rafael, Calif., posted four goals over the weekend, including a hat trick in California's 5-1 victory over San Jose State on Sept. 12. This marks her first collegiate hat trick and the Bears' first since the 2002 season. Eisenberg scored Cal's first, third and fifth goals in the win. She led the club with six shots, four of which were on goal. In a 3-0 win over Colgate on Sept. 10, Eisenberg scored Cal's final goal with 52 seconds remaining.
After entering the season with four-career points, Eisenberg leads Cal in points (10) and goals (5) in 2004.
The No. 14 Bears (4-1-1 overall) host Pennsylvania on Friday, Sept. 17 in a non-conference match-up starting at 4:30 p.m.
