Rob Evans To Host Annual Charity Golf Tournament

ASU men's basketball coach Rob Evans will be hosting his seventhannual charity golf tournament this fall on Thursday, September 23,at the Phantom Horse Golf Club at the Pointe South Mountain Resort.The tournament benefits the Tempe Diablos and the Boys & Girls Clubsof the East Valley. Registration starts at 11:30 a.m., with theshotgun scramble start at 1:00 p.m., with awards following at thedinner.
The tournament has an entry fee of $300 to play, or $1,200 for afoursome. Hole sponsorships are also available for $1,800. For moreinformation call the Boys & Girls of the East Valley at 480-820-3688or the ASU Men's Basketball Office at 480-965-3261.
The BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF THE EAST VALLEY is a leading youthdevelopment agency that has been serving local youth since 1963.Nine branches and teen centers, together with an arts-based charterschool, serve more than 11,000 youth annually in Apache Junction,Chandler, Gilbert, Guadalupe, Mesa, Tempe, and the Gila River IndianCommunity. Programs are offered after school and during the summerfor youth, ages 6-18, in the areas of recreation, education, peerleadership, computer training and the arts. The Club has receivednational recognition for its efforts and is one of the leading Boys& Girls Clubs in the nation.
The TEMPE DIABLOS is a civic-minded organization devoted to thepromotion of the City of Tempe. Organized in 1968 to promote SpringTraining Baseball in Tempe, its efforts have distinguished it to beamong the top community service project sponsors in the nation. Theorganization currently works to fund scholarships and youth andcommunity programs in Tempe.
Following the tournament, at 6:00 p.m. at the Phantom Horse Grill,there will be a live and silent auction. Up for bid will be sportsmemorabilia, trips, golf, fun and exotic items. There will also beprizes for the longest drive, closest to the pin, the betting holeand a chance to win a car from Earnhardt motors with a hole-in-one.
