Roy Lewis Transfers to UW Football Program

Seattle - Roy Lewis has transferred to the Washington football program head coach Keith Gilbertson announced today. Lewis will redshirt the 2004 season after playing at San Jose State in 2003 as a true freshman at cornerback.

Lewis appeared in 10 games for the Spartans and finished seventh on the team with 42 total tackles. He did not have any interceptions.

Played outside linebacker at Narbonne High School in Los Angeles where he was a teammate of current Husky safety Dashon Goldson. Lewis' cousin, Chris Hemphill, is a redshirt freshman safety at Washington.
